For the final scene of «Outside In» and end credits, we need thousands of extras from all around the world. Since «Outside In» is being built entirely from still photographs, that means lots and lots of still photographs.
There is no fame and fortune - i.e. no pay - and with so many images onscreen at one time, only a few faces may be clearly visible. But it's your chance to be a direct, creative part of the filmmaking process. Plus we will publish an online gallery of everyone's submissions.
The example shots to the left are of my filmmaking pal Jason Pierce I took using an 6 MP digital camera in about 15 minutes. If you would like to help, follow the instructions here. Please forward to your friends and family everywhere. Our goal is 1,000 people!

We need images from people all over the world, all ages, backgrounds, genders etc. Please, if under 18, have adult supervision during all shooting. Watch the video here and look at the samples here on the page.
Then, Download PDF or Download MS Word, and sign the release here for BOTH the photographer and subject, If either person is under 18, you will need your parent or guardian to signAND contact us to let us know it is okay to use your images. Otherwise, we won't be able to use them.
Shoot the images (see below) and email them here if they are JPEGs. Or use a service like You Send It,MailBigFile etc for RAW, TIFF or Photoshop files. Or contact me about sending prints, slides, disks etc.
1) A 6 megapixel(4 Megapixel turned sideways i.e. portrait) or higher resolution digital still camera OR a 35mm or larger still camera with slide film. Shoot RAW or TIFF if possible. Use the highest quality/resolution setting! 2) Someone to photograph you or self timer on camera. 3) A candle with large wick (please be very careful with fire!)
I need 7-10 images for each virtual extra - do not send more than 10 images.
Each image should be framed carefully to show the subject clearly and have a clean, uncluttered as possible background. a) 2-3 shots of the person watching TV or working at computer etc. b)2-3 shots of person getting up, going outside (a sense of where they are - city, farm, ocean, field) c) 2-3 shots of person walking and looking up to sky (day or night). d)1-2 shots of person lighting/holding candle up to sky.
The better composed and cleaner the shots, the more chance they will be featured in the foreground of the film. Contact me first if you have questions or concerns.
