This is a must see – amazing images of “northern lights” from Saturn. I have no idea yet if any of this can be incorporated into “Outside In” but very cool nonetheless.

But one of the initial inspirations behind “Outside In” was NASA’s very lame “Why Saturn” page from several years ago at the beginning of the mission. I can’t find it now, they have at least improved [...] The Cassini spacecraft has been taking some pretty stunning pictures in the last few days. New design I'm working on for symbol/title/logo One of the highlights in “Outside In” is the landing on Titan, Saturn’s mysterious moon. There are a few short videos out there attempting to show the landing using real photographs. They don’t work so well. In their defense, the existing photographs are extremely low resolution (think less than cell-phone camera) and often hard [...] It’s November 11th – the 11th day of the 11 month. As you may realize, I’ve set a target completion date of 11.11.11 for the film and announced a “Team 11″ funding effort to help meet this goal. I hoped to have a new site and teaser up today, but alas I got quite [...] There are only a few major film funds out there for independent filmmakers in the US. Unfortunately, as of today, “Outside In” is eligible for none of them – that’s right, zero. It’s crazy – they all say they are looking for “cutting edge, visionary, independent work that is outside the box, etc. blah [...] |
