I realize it’s a little quiet here, but things are very busy here in the basement. The big push for full fundraising is underway and like all fundraising in tough times – there is bad news but good news on the horizon. The quiet is because I’m in the middle of the final weeks [...] It’s November 11th – the 11th day of the 11 month. As you may realize, I’ve set a target completion date of 11.11.11 for the film and announced a “Team 11″ funding effort to help meet this goal. I hoped to have a new site and teaser up today, but alas I got quite [...] There are only a few major film funds out there for independent filmmakers in the US. Unfortunately, as of today, “Outside In” is eligible for none of them – that’s right, zero. It’s crazy – they all say they are looking for “cutting edge, visionary, independent work that is outside the box, etc. blah [...] There is only one community that I keep running into issues with in my efforts to bring “Outside In” to the screen. Ironically, it’s the community that stands to benefit most directly from “Outside In” being a success. It’s academic/scientific community around space and space imaging. It’s the complete opposite of what I thought [...] It’s been a year of big news, but for me, this is the best yet. The good and smart people Fotokem have come on-board to output a couple of minutes of “Outside In” to IMAX 15/70 film to screen at the Giant Screen Cinema Assoc. Conference in September. It’s been my dream for years [...] It’s official, “Outside In” is on the docket for the 2008 Giant Screen Cinema Association Conference which will be held in Jersey City & NYC in early September. I’m very excited (and a little nervous) about the event – seeing “Outside In” listed with all the films is big deal considering where the film [...] People often make a number of assumptions about the computer technology being used to create “Outside In”. I hear everything from “you must have a supercomputer, you must be using Macs, you must be using special software” etc. So I thought I would dispel some assumptions and give you a quick inside view of [...] For those of you who have not heard yet, “Outside In” has received the first large donation to the film. Several months ago, when I changed the film to not-for-profit venture after turning down the offers from investors, I hoped this would be the best move for the film and now things are now [...] I will be attending a seminar on charitable giving strategies at AG Edwards thanks to a friend of my, Kimberly Lutes.
